Meditation is medicine for your mind. It is about training your attention and your awareness to attain a clean, calm, present, and stable mind.
There are many styles of meditation such as visualization, mindfulness, movement, mantra, vipassana, and transcendantal meditations.
Meditation is not about stopping our thoughts. It’s about observing them as they are, without reacting, and letting them go. If you’re trying to stop your thoughts, you’re all wrong.
